I’ve long worried that Obama over-learned Iowa, where he was somewhat aided by John Edwards’ willingness to attack on his behalf. But as the primary stretched on, Obama seemed pretty comfortable lacing up his own gloves. Either way, the campaign, for now, seems to be pursuing a pretty similar strategy to what they used in the early primaries: Hold back, focus on fundamentals, let your opponent sully their own image by attacking you, and ready yourself to engage on your own terms when it suits your strategy. That McCain has gone so negative, so early, is a sign of his campaign’s glaring weaknesses. That doesn’t mean it won’t work. But if it does show up in the polls, it’s pretty likely that the Obama campaign will respond. And they’re going to have quite a bit of money with which to do it.

At the same time, a line out of a new freestyle verse from rapper Ludacris posed a new celebrity-tinged question for the Obama campaign. “Hillary hated on you, so that bitch is irrelevant,” Ludacris says in the song.

The rapper’s remarks drew a sharp response from Sen. Clinton’s former national finance co-chair, Yashar Hedayat.

“I hope Senator Obama has the presence of mind to denounce and distance himself from Ludacris,” Hedayat wrote in an email to the Huffington Post. “In May, when Father Pfleger made those horrible remarks about Senator Clinton at Trinity United, Senator Obama didn’t do much to defend her and John McCain was the first to rush to her defense.”

Simultaneously, Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton released a statement saying:

“As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to. Barely more than one month into its first term, and the administration of President Barack Obama is entering the rarefied world of Never-Never Land —- the mythical world of Peter Pan where wishes magically come true and in which the normal laws of nature do not apply. How else, for example, to explain the president’s statements last weekend —- delivered apparently with quite a straight face in his weekly radio address —- that despite adding probably $1 trillion to the already mushrooming federal deficit and national debt, and on top of an additional $100 billion or so (the actual numbers are impossible to figure at this point) with his just-announced housing-rescue package, he plans to actually cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term? Only in the magical world into which Peter Pan took Wendy Darling and her siblings, could a government leader actually believe in such nonsense.

The most vivid example of people’s indifference for the black Americans was during the Hurricane Katrina, when many of our citizens were left behind to fend for themselves as hurricane stroked New Orleans. While those poor Americans struggled to stay alive, our ex-president has spent 2 days talking about prescription drugs, but in spite of that FEMA has been waiting nearly 4 days to reach the destination point. As per Paul Krugman who has reported to The New York Times the following: “By three to one, African-Americans believe that federal aid took so long to arrive in New Orleans in part because the city was poor and black. By an equally large margin, whites disagree.” That really sounds like an issue to me.

Over fifty years have passed since President Lyndon Johnson have declares the war against poverty and racism but we still see both in our present-day society. It is my firm believe it is time to re-organize our nation for those 2 troubles. Many people has opened their minds to those issues after witnessing the horrible results of Katrina, which means that we still have a chance to solve something about these problems. I hope President Obama and his stuff now realize that they need to do something about these problems. The time to act has come now.
